Jordanian official warns against pollution of Jordanian waters
The Jordanian official responsible for the Jordan Valley district, Dureid Mahasneh, on Tuesday submitted an official objection in a message sent to the Israeli minister of the environment over pouring Israeli sewage water from Eilat district into the Jordanian territories. A dispute took place between Eilat municipality and the regional council Eilout in Israel. The dispute resulted in polluting vast areas of the Jordan valley with sewage water in the "Purification lakes" coming from Eilat, a situation which endangers Jordanian water sources, Israel Radio reported.
