Iran to join the satellite club

Tehran stated its intent to enter the space race by means of Iranian satellites, and defended its right to possess the essential technology to join the satellite club.

In press statements, Iranian Defense Minister General Ali Shamkhani revealed that the Iranian armed forces will make a test today of the engine of the Shahab 4 rocket.

He also said this missile will be able to put satellites into orbit and will not have military applications.

Shamkhani said the Shahab 3 will not be used against any Islamic country, knowing that it is capable of striking Israel, thus Iran became a possessor of a real deterrent force so it cannot be struck or even attacked.
