Syrian presidential decree on Aleppo mosque restoration

Syrian President Hafez al-Assad has issued decree no. 3 of 1999, which provides for the formation of a committee whose task is to restore the Grand Ummayad Mosque in Aleppo with the adherence to the known principles of repairing historical sites by using Arab and local expertise. The committee is to be chaired by the governor of Aleppo, Muhammad Mustafa Miro.
