Qatari Emir confers with British defense minister

Ruler of Qatar Sheikh Hamad Bin Khaleifa al-Thani met on Monday in Doha with British Defense Minister George Robertson.

The two sides discussed during the meeting bilateral relations between their two countries and the situation in the region. Robertson arrived in Qatar, his first stop on an Arab Gulf tour during which he is to visit Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and Bahrain.
