Egypt: Warm welcome for Qaboos

Sultan Qaboos of Oman on Thursday started a private visit to Egypt which will last for several days during which he will hold talks with Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak on " bilateral relations, the Middle East peace process and means of consolidating Arab solidarity."

The Egyptian president received Sultan Qaboos upon the latter's arrival at Sharm al-Sheikh, where a warm reception was prepared for the Sultan when he took off from his plane. Sultan Qaboos was accompanied by an official delegation comprising Minister of Foreign Affairs Youssef Bin Alawi and the minister in charge of defense affairs, Sayed Bader Bin Hareb al-Bour Saeedi.
