Cab driver jailed for drug trafficking

A Moroccan court sentenced Tuesday a cab driver to eight years in jail for drug trafficking charges. The man was arrested during January by the Moroccan police at the northern Moroccan port of Tangiers with 25 kg of cannabis concealed in his cab.

The court confiscated the vehicle and ordered the driver to pay around $12,000 in fines to the state treasury and tobacco company.
