Bomb defused in Dubai supermarket

A statement released on Tuesday in Dubai by the US embassy there said that a bomb was defused last week in a supermarket in Dubai usually frequented by the Americans and the European communities. The statement added that the police were able to dismantle the explosive and opened an investigation into this incident.

The statement called upon US citizens to be careful despite assertions made by the US State Department that there is no specific threat that targets US interests and citizens.

The statement also called upon the Americans who live in the UAE and those who frequently visit the country to make nessecary plans to ensure their safety, adding that it called on US citizens to be careful about letters they receive from suspected sources that may contain bombs.
