Palestine's permanent delegate in the Arab league: Egypt's role is essential and pivotal in the peace process

Mohammed Sabaih, Palestine's permanent delegate at the Arab League, said at the Cairo International Book Fair that Israel established its state in 1948 and the Palestinian side is getting ready to establish its state according to United Nations General Assembly resolution N 181 in 1947.

He added, "Palestine does not link between the Israeli elections and any Palestinian strategic goal," assuring that the Palestinian goal of declaring the Palestinian state on May 4 is a "sacred" decision and date, yet every leader has the right to choose the right time according to the circumstances and all new developments.

He also confirmed that Egypt's role in the peace process is essential and pivotal.
