Violence continues in Algeria

Two Algerian French language dailies, Liberty and L'Occidental, reported that eight military men were killed and another seven wounded in an ambush planted by armed men in Relizane and Tebaseh districts in southwestern Algeria on Friday and Saturday.

The two dailies said that the military-men killed two of the armed groups' members and wounded ten others.

Meanwhile, an Algerian security source said on Saturday that armed men in Algeria killed five civilians in Chelf province, 200 km from the capital.

In a statement, the Algerian security sources said that security forces started vast mopping-up operations in search of the armed-group members.
