Mubarak in Paris on Monday

Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak is to visit Paris on Monday on his return from Davos, Switzerland after participating in the international economic forum.

The French ambassador in Cairo, Jean Marc De La Sabliere said that Mubarak's discussions with French President Jacques Chirac will focus on the Iraqi crisis and the situation in the Middle East.

De La Sabliere added that, "France contributed with an initiative in order to reach a solution to the Iraqi crisis," and he stated that this initiative is in line with the outcome of last Sunday's consultative meeting of Arab foreign ministers.
