Algeria opposes using power against Iraq

Algeria expressed yesterday its deep anxiety toward the current developments in Iraq due to the use of force against an "intimate" Arab states in an "unjustifiable" way.

The spokesman of the Algerian Foreign Ministry, Abdul Aziz Saba, said that Algeria feels sorry and opposes the use of power, which caused great loses in human terms and forms a breach of Iraqi sovereignty and unity.

He added, "Algeria renews its solidarity with Iraq in this new crisis and considers this action unacceptable."
