Iraqi parliament criticizes Kuwait and Saudi Arabia
The Iraqi National Council (Parliament) on Tuesday called upon the Iraqi government to withdraw recognition of Iraq's border with Kuwait, in reaction to the raids carried out by the US and British troops on Iraq.
In an emergency session it held on Tuesday morning, the council called for abrogating the decision taken by the Iraqi government in 1994 recognizing the borders between Iraq and Kuwait as set by the UN in 1993.
Other Iraqi National Council members denounced the military facilities provided by Saudi Arabia and Kuwait for US and British warplanes which are carrying sorties in the no-fly zone area in southern Iraq.
Other Iraqi parliamentarians called upon the Iraqi government to freeze UN resolutions relating to eliminating the Iraqi weapons. More parliamentarians accused Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait of taking part in the British air raids in Iraq and called for "setting up an Arab court to try them."
