Khaddam confers with Lebanese parliamentarian

Orient radio said on Tuesday that a meeting was held between Syrian Vice President Abdul Halim Khaddam and Lebanese parliament member Beshara Murhij during which talks dealt with current developments and Arab and regional events.

The meeting was an opportunity to offer congratulations on the people's consensus on nominating President al-Assad for a new term of office as an expression on the great confidence entrusted by the Syrian people in the national policy pursued by Syria.
