3.1 percent is the inflation rate in Tunis

Formal statistics in Tunisia showed that the consumer price indicator increased by 0.3% in December in comparison to its level in November. The annual average registered a 3.1% increase at the end of last December, down from 3.7% in 1997. This is the lowest increase in the Tunisian indicator of the consumer prices since 1972.
