Morocco in Berlin's Agribusiness Show

Originally published

Morocco will take part in Berlin's International Agribusiness show to open doors this January 22 with the participation of hundreds of professionals from the four corners of the world.

The Moroccan stand will display a wide variety of fresh agricultural produce as well as several processed products developed to be competitive on the international market.

The show is an opportunity for Moroccan agribusiness professionals to promote Moroccan products and meet with foreigners to benefit from their farming and marketing experiences.

Morocco's agri-business sector accounts for 22 % of the country's overall processing industry and yields about $ 1.6 billion in added value.

The sector employs 100,000 persons and contributes one third added value in the processing industries.

All the potentials of this sector, which contributes about 20 % in Morocco's overall industrial exportations, are not however fully exploited as only 10 % of the country's gardening capacities and 50 % of dairy productions are processed.
