Report: Zvilli to withdraw from Israeli Labor Party
The Israeli daily Jerusalem Post has reported that Israeli Knesset member Nissim Zvilli will withdraw from the Labor Party within the next two days in order to join prime minister candidate Amnon Shahak.
This measure by Zvilli comes within the framework of the recently-formed party. Last week, Israeli Knesset member for the same party Hagai Meirom announced his joining Shahak's side.
On the other hand, Israeli Knesset member Uzi Baram decided to stay in the Labor party after disputes were settled between him and chairman of his party, Ehud Barak.
The Labor Party decided to hold its preliminary elections on February 15, Israeli radio reported.
