US secretary of state to visit Morocco next week

U.S. Secretary of State Madeleine Albright will visit Morocco next week for talks with Moroccan officials on the Sahara and Iraqi issues, a Moroccan daily reported.

The visit to the Kingdom is part of the tour she will conduct as of January 26 and that will successively lead her to Saudi Arabia, Egypt and Kuwait.

During her visit in Rabat, Albright will be received by King Hassan II and will confer with Prime Minister Abderrahmane Youssoufi, and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, Abdellatif Filali, "Al Mounaddama" reported, quoting informed US sources.
