Originally published

A high-ranking Jordanian governmental source on Monday stressed Jordan's support of all potentials for the Arab foreign ministers at the consultative meeting on January 24.

The source said in reply to a question asked by the Jordanian daily al-Dustour on what had been announced in Damascus following the meeting between Syrian President Hafez al-Assad and Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak and the agreement of both Syria and Egypt to convene an Arab summit that, "Until now Jordan has not informed officially about the Arab summit."

The Jordanian source added that in case the proposed summit is agreed upon, Jordan will be very careful to read the agenda of this summit and its real objectives.
