Israeli occupation forces on Monday continued their aggressions against areas adjacent to the occupied part of south Lebanon. Lebanese security sources said occupation artillery targeted on Monday the outskirts of Jibal al-Butoum, al-Mansouri, Yater, Jib Sweid and the road linking Zibqin and al-Henah.

The Israeli bombardment came in conjunction with mopping-up operations using heavy machine-gun fire against residential areas of al-Mansouri town. The operation resulted in damage to a private car from 13.7 mm shells fired out of the Israeli position in al-Hardoun.

The attacks also resulted in electricity being cut off in al-Mansouri, Majdal Zoun and Beyout al-Seyad towns.

Meanwhile, Israeli helicopters flew over al-Hardoun and al-Radar positions inside the occupied part of south Lebanon. Moreover, Israeli occupation forces shelled with heavy artillery the surroundings of Majdal Zoun and Zibqin towns. News reports from south Lebanon said the Israeli bombardment resulted in damage to the electricity network grid in the targeted area. Further reports from south Lebanon said that the commander of battalion 20 of the pro-Israeli militia was wounded when resistance-men attacked his procession along Ein Majdoulin in Jezzine district.

In a statement, the Lebanese resistance said that a resistance group detonated an explosive charge against the pro-Israeli militia officer, Joseph Karam, who was wounded in his legs.

A large number of militiamen besieged the area where the incident rook place and carried out an inspection campaign in search of those who carried out the attack.

In retaliation, the Lebanese resistance carried out on Monday several operations against the Israeli occupation forces in south Lebanon. In a statement, the Lebanese resistance said its groups attacked on Monday morning Israeli positions in Balat, Radar and Hardoun. The groups used machine guns and rockets, inflicting direct hits on the Israeli positions.

On Monday night, the resistance also attacked Israeli moves at Sujoud.

Meanwhile, Israeli occupation forces and the pro-Israeli Spouth Lebanon Army Militia prevented citizen Khalil Hashem from returning to his occupied hometown of Shabaa in occupied south Lebanon. Hashem was held in Khiam camp for one year.

The committee in charge of the deportees from the occupied Lebanese areas called for raising the question of the Lebanese refugees in the Israeli jails in international circles.

The town of Shabaa has been besieged by the Israeli occupation forces for the third consecutive week.
