Originally published

Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak on Monday in Cairo received the secretary general of the international Francophonic organization, Boutros Boutros Ghali. During the meeting, Ghali submitted a report on the organization's activities and the contacts he made to discuss investments and international trade between the organization's member states, as Egypt is a member in the organization.

In a statement following the meeting Ghali said the organization's forthcoming summit will be held in Canada in September to discuss issues pertaining to youths and their problems.

Ghali also met with Arab League Secretary General Esmat Abdul Meguid, adding that he invited Abdul Meguid to attend the conference of the Francophonic countries' ministers of finance and economy, in which 52 Francophonic countries are to take part in Monaco during April. Abdul Meguid in return accepted the invitation.

Ghali added that the conference is held under the name of foreign investments and foreign trade, which is considered an important meeting, specifically after the euro currency was issued, adding that it is a chance to enhance cooperation between Arab Francophonic countries.
