Saudi trade exposition in Baghdad postponed

Originally published

The inauguration of the Saudi trade exposition scheduled to be opened in Baghdad on Sunday was postponed until January 26, 1999 because of the US-British attacks against Iraq.

An official at the Baghdad International Fair where the exposition will be held and organized by Saudi companies in Iraq -- the first of its kind since 1991 -- said the exposition will continue until February 5.

Earlier, an Iraqi official source announced that a Saudi trade delegation visited Baghdad several months ago and met with officials at the Iraqi Ministry of Trade to discuss the possibility of signing contracts within the framework of the oil-for-food agreement.
