Polisario denies Annan proposed dividing the Sahara with Morocco

The Polisario front denied that United Nations Secretary General Kofi Annan proposed dividing the Sahara with Morocco. The Polisario's statement said that Annan's proposed suggestions to overcome the problems surrounding counting voters, identity specification, the return of persons who will participate in the referendum and the new timetable for the referendum.

The statement stated that the peace plan and Houston accord are the only way to reach a just peace in the Sahara.
