Moroccan-Egyptian high cooperation commission to meet next spring
The Moroccan-Egyptian cooperation high commission will meet in Morocco next spring to assess joint actions and identify ways to rev up trade exchange.
In its latest session last May in Cairo under the chairmanship of Morocco's King Hassan II and Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak, the commission concluded a package of cooperation accords seeking to increase partnership between the two countries in various sectors and pave the way for the establishment of a free-exchange zone.
The two countries, whose trade exchange does not exceed $ 60 million, agreed recently to gradually decrease customs duties.
In additon to Egypt, Morocco has signed free-trade accords with several Arab countries to prepare the grounds for the creation of the common Arab market.
