Iran, Oman sign memorandum of understanding, cooperation

Iran and the Sultanate of Oman on Wednesday signed a memorandum of understanding for cooperation between the two countries. The signing ceremony was held at the conclusion of the meetings of the sixth session of the joint Omani - Iranian trade and economic committee.

On the Iranian side, the memorandum was signed by Minister of Minerals Yitzhak Jahangheiri and the Omani side by Minister of Trade and Industry Maqboul Bin Ali Bin Sultan. The memorandum calls for the two countries' cooperation in economic, trade, oil, gas and desertification fighting areas.
