A message from Blair to Bahraini prime minister

Bahrain's Prime Minister Sheikh Khaleifa Bin Salman al-Khaleifa on Tuesday received a message from British Prime Minister Tony Blair. No information was reported on the content of the message.

The Gulf News Agency said that Bahraini Foreign Minister Sheikh Muhammad Bin Mubarak al-Khaleifa received the message during his Tuesday meeting with the British ambassador to Bahrain.

For his part the Bahraini foreign minister received a message from British Foreign Office Secretary Robin Cook concerning bilateral relations between the two countries, current developments in the region and issues debated before the UN Security Council.

Bahrain currently presides over the UN Security Council.
