El-Mahdi's return not due to Sudanese communication

Sudanese Minister of Culture and Information Gazai Salah El-Din, the spokesman of the Sudanese government, said he heard from newspapers about the return of former Sudanese Prime Minister El-Sadiq El-Mahdi to Khartoum.

He denied that there are direct communications with El-Mahdi and that his return is not the outcome of any communications, but it is for considerations known only by El-Mahdi and his party.

Meanwhile, Salah el-Din welcomed the return of any opposition members, saying that El-Mahdi's return will enrich talks in Sudan.

He also said that the current government is not refusing talks and does not exclude any positive developments resulting from any possible talks.
