Jordanian-Iranian committee meets in Amman
Works of the Jordanian-Iranian joint committee chaired by Jordanian Minister of Industry and Trade Muhammad Saleh al-Hourani and his Iranian counterpart, Ghulam Rida Shafee, opened on Tuesday in Amman.
Jordanian officials said the committee will sign an agreement to "encourage investment, prevent double taxation and cooperation in the areas of health and reactivation of tourism, especially religious tourism in Jordan which contains tens of holy shrines."
The committee previously met in Tehran several months ago. Operation of a direct air route between the two countries' capitals began in June, following a cessation of 20 years.
