Israeli Knesset member meets with Egyptian foreign minister

Originally published

Egyptian Foreign Minister Amr Moussa met today the head of Israel's Arab Democratic Party, Knesset member Abdulwahab Darawshe, to discuss steps that can be taken to urge the Israeli government to commit to the Wye River accord and free the Palestinian detainees.

Moussa previously met with Darawshe within a delegation of Arab Knesset members who visited Egypt during October before the signing of the Wye River accord.

Darawshe informed Moussa of the results of the Arab Knesset members' visit to Jordan, the preparations made to visit Syria and the current situation in light of escalating pressures by Israeli religious blocs in the Knesset on the Israeli government.
