Israel continues aggressions against south Lebanon
Israeli occupation forces on Thursday continued attacks against areas adjacent to the occupied part of south Lebanon, especially hills and heights of al-Tuffah district.
Lebanese security sources said that Israeli artillery positioned at al-Zaffata bombarded the towns of Jarjou', Jabalsafi, al-Tasseh river course, al-Rafee mountain, Lweiseh, Mleita and Sujoud al-Rayhan woods and Litani river course. The Israeli attacls were carried out in conjunction with Israeli planes' intensive sorties and heavy bombardment which targeted roads linking al-Tuffah district to the occupied part of south Lebanon.
Lebanese security sources added that Israeli artillery bombarded on Thursday afternoon the woods of Sujoud al-Rayhan and Aqmata farm in al-Tuffah district.
Meanwhile, Israeli warplanes flew in Lebanese airspace and broke the sound barrier for the third time on Thursday morning. Earlier, Israeli warplanes broke the sound barrier over Beirut.
Lebanese sources added that the occupation forces deployed armored vehicles to the occupied region, which were positioned in Abi al-Saqqi plain. In retaliation Lebanese resistance forces on Thursday attacked the Israeli position in Sujoud.
Lebanese resistance forces also attacked a patrol manned by Israeli and Lahd elements in Sujoud. In a statement, the resistance said direct hits were scored on the Israeli position and fortifications.
The Lebanese resistance source, moreover, stressed the resistance's commitment to ensuring the security of Lebanese civilians. Commenting on the Israeli violation of the Lebanese skies, the Lebanese resistance source said, "The Zionists will be repelled by the proper answer for any violation of April Understanding."
The source asserted that this new form of "Zionist aggression" against Lebanon is a violation of Lebanese national sovereignty.
