Lebanese committee urges Chirac to help free detainees
The follow-up committee in charge of supporting the cause of Lebanese detainees in Israeli jails on Tuesday appealed to French President Jacques Chirac to work for releasing Lebanese detainees in the Israeli jails.
In a message addressed to the French President on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Universal Declaration on Human Rights, the committee said " there are more than 61 detainees in Israeli jails including elderly people, teenagers, woman and children without trial. Some of those detainees are suffering from bad health problems because of their imprisonment."
