Originally published

The ten Palestinian groups which oppose the Oslo agreements have refused the invitation extended by the chairman of the Palestinian National Council, Salim al-Za'noun to take part in the meeting he advocated convening on December 10 in Gaza.

The secretary general of the Islamic Jihad movement in Damascus, Ramadan Abdullah Shalah, said in an interview with Monte Carlo radio's correspondent in Damascus that the movement "refuses to be an eyewitness to a Palestinian selling crime."

He added, "We reiterate our rejection of Oslo and Wye Plantation agreements, the abrogation of the Palestinian national charter and stress the rights of our people to continue struggle until full rights of our legitimate rights in our homeland Palestine are restored."

The secretary general of the People's Front, General Command, Ahmad Jibril, also refused to attend this meeting. The front's assistant secretary general, Talal Naji, called for boycotting this meeting, saying: "They want to meet the Israeli demands by canceling the Palestinian national charter."

Meanwhile, secretary general of the Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine Nayef Hawatemah said al-Za'noun's invitation aims at ratifying the cancellation of the Palestinian national charter, adding that the invitation aims at canceling 28 articles out of 32 of the total articles of the Palestinian national charter.
