Gaddafi challenges United States and Britain to solve Lockerbie problem
At a celebration honoring Gambian President Yahya Jammeh and the chairman of the US Nation of Islam organization, Louis Farrakhan, Libyan leader Colonel Moammer Gaddafi delivered an address yesterday in which he announced his defiance of the US and Britain.
He called on the two countries not to put unacceptable conditions that will be rejected on the offer to hold a trial for Libyan suspects in the Lockerbie case, saying that the whole world and Libya are waiting for serious measures by the two countries toward holding this trial by removing the obstacles they have set up.
Gaddafi added that Libya has presented all facilities for solving this problem yet the other side doesn't want to concede this fact, saying that adhering to either British or US law is going to ruin the attempt to solve this problem because in this case Libya is going to justify its position by adhering to its national laws.
