Charges against Israeli civilian bombardment

The April Understanding Monitoring Committee met on Monday at the general headquarters of UNIFIL in the Lebanese border town of al-Naqoura.

The committee is to discuss six Lebanese complaints lodged against Israel concerning Israel's bombardment of Haris, Kafer Tibnet, al-Nabatieh al-Fawqa, Jarjou and Barachit towns, the wounding of three citizens and several houses were reported to be damaged.

The committee is also to discuss nine Israeli complaints, in which Israel claims that the Lebanese resistance bombarded Israeli positions from a religious site in the villages of south Lebanon. A source within the Lebanese delegation to the committee said the Israeli complaints are groundless, aiming at limiting Lebanese resistance operations to within a confined geographic area.
