Preparations for joint Saudi - Iranian joint committee in Riyadh

Works of the preliminary meeting for the first session of the joint Saudi - Iranian committee started in Riyadh on Sunday. The first session will be held on the ministerial level in Riyadh on December 15.

The Saudi Foreign Ministry's secretary for economic and cultural affairs, Youssef al-Sadoun, who is also the chairman of the Saudi side, said in a speech he gave on the occasion that he hoped certain recommendations will be adopted in the agenda of the forthcoming ministerial committee meetings, aiming at consolidating ties between the two countries.

The chairman of the Iranian side to the meeting stressed in a similar statement the deep relations "linking Saudi Arabia and Iran in various fields."
