Tehran: No problems hindering normalization of relations with Egypt
Iranian Vice President Masouma Ibtikar has asserted that there are "no problems which prevent normalization of Iranian-Egyptian relations."
In a statement to the Kuwaiti daily al-Qabas issued on Thursday the Iranian vice president added, "Relations between the two countries are proceeding for the better."
She noted that economic cooperation between the two countries would pave the way for the restoration of relations, adding that there are no obstacles preventing restoration of full diplomatic relations.
She explained that the repeated crises between Iraq and the UN have an adverse impact on the region. She added, "But what raises concern is the imbalance in demanding the dismantling of weapons of mass destruction in certain countries rather than making this demand imperative on all."
