Morocco hosts international conference on Jerusalem

An international conference opens this Thursday here to look into the present situation in Jerusalem and the religious co-existence which prevailed during the Islamic reign in the holy city.

The three-day conference themed "Jerusalem, a breaking-down point or meeting place?" is organized by the Academy of the Kingdom of Morocco and the Arab Parliamentary Union.

Participants will hear papers dealing with the UN decisions relevant to Jerusalem, the role of peace sponsors in enhancing the Mideast Peace process and the best ways to forge a peaceful culture and protect religious sites in Jerusalem.
