Britain intends to reschedule 25 million pounds in Moroccan debt
The chairman of the British Overseas Trade Board announced that London intends to reschedule 25 million pounds in Moroccan debt owed to Britain.
Martin Laing made the announcement during a meeting with Moroccan Prime Minister Abderrahmane Youssoufi.
Laing also informed Youssoufi of British firms' determination to inject important investments in Moroccan infrastructure projects.
British enterprises are particularly interested in investing in Morocco's telecommunications, power, water, roads, and financial markets.
The volume of these investments in Morocco can reach $1 billion US.
Youssoufi stressed the government's commitment to enforcing a climate of transparency to encourage investment and diversify Morocco's economic and trade partners.
Laing is visiting Morocco to attend the British commercial week, currently being held in Casablanca.
