During the Syrian-Turkish crisis; Morocco refused to receive Yilmaz

Originally published

Arab diplomatic sources told the London-based al-Quds al-Arabi daily that the Moroccan government refused to receive Turkish Premier Mesout Yilmaz last month because of the crisis between Ankara and Syria. The sources added that Morocco had informed Turkey of the impossibility of Yilmaz's visit at a time when Turkish - Syrian relations were close to erupting in a war between the two neighbors, SANA reported.
