Jordanian Islamists accuse Palestinian government of planning assassinations in Jordan
The official spokesman for the Muslim Brotherhood group in Jordan, Jamil Abu Baker, said on Thursday that his group received information saying that security forces in the Palestinian Authority are planning to assassinate several figures in Jordan.
He said, "We received information from many sides speaking of assassination acts claiming the lives of Islamists at the hands of the Palestinian authorities, especially the former Islamists parliamentarian Humam Saeed, who is the deputy secretary general of the Islamic Work Front of the Muslim Brotherhood groups."
That organization is said to have permitted the killing Palestinian officials following the signing of Wye River agreement in Washington on October 23.
The spokesman added that Humam Saeed has categorically denied having released such a Fatwa.
He noted that the Muslim Brotherhood briefed the Jordanian authorities on the information.
