Jordanian authorities stifle public opinion

The Jordanian authorities have prevented the Vocational Union centre in al- Karak province from holding a mass rally in solidarity with Syria. The rally is an expression of the Jordanian people's rejection of any foreign onslaught against the Arab homeland.

In a statement to the Jordanian al-Sabil daily, the centre's chief Nael al-Kuwalit expressed astonishment at this arbitrary measure against the freedom of public opinion.
