Kuwaiti President confers with British defense secretary

President of Kuwait Sheikh Jaber al-Ahmad al-Sabah on Monday received the British Defense Secretary George Robertson. Talks dealt with bilateral relations and means of developing and boosting them, latest developments on the political arenas and issues of mutual concern.

Present at the meeting were the Kuwaiti crown prince Sheik Saad al-Abdullah al-Sabah and the foreign minister Sheikh Sabah al-Ahmad. Robertson arrived in Kuwait on Sunday night.
