Al-Sharaa meets head of refugee committee

Official sources in Syria announced today that Syrian Foreign Minister Farouk al-Sharaa met with the head of a multi-sided refugee committee in Palestine, Andrew Robinson, where they discussed the current situations in the region, the halted peace process and the situation of the Palestinian refugees.

After the meeting, Robinson said that he did not ask al-Sharaa to trust the Israelis, adding that Canada hopes that the peace process can generally advance, but this advance needs the Palestinians and Israelis to implement what they have agreed upon.
