Jordanian Premier calls for reviving negotiations on Syrian, Lebanese tracks

Originally published

Jordanian Prime Minister Fayez Tarawneh called in an interview with Israeli Radio on Wednesday upon the US, following the implementation of the Wye Plantation agreement, to put all its weight behind reviving negotiations on the Syrian and Lebanese tracks.

Replying to a question on Syrian-Jordanian relations, Tarawneh stated, "Relations with Syria are cool," adding that the Syrians are behind this coolness. He accused Syria of launching media campaigns against Jordan.

The Jordanian Prime Minister denied the accusation that Jordan is making an alliance with Turkey and Israel.
