US offers $5 million for capture of exiled Saudi Osama Bin Laden
The US government announced today a filing of a "superseding indictment" on 238 counts against exiled Saudi Osama Bin Laden and another Muhammad Atif as members of al-Keida organization.
Both have been indicted by the US for "conspiracy to kill members of the US military." The US had previously attacked the camps of Bin Laden in Afghanistan following the bombing of two US embassies in Africa ( Nairobi and Dar Es Salam) for alleged involvement in the terrorist act.
The US accused Bin Laden of setting up "front" companies in Sudan. One such company according to the US was the recently bombed medicine factory in Sudan, where the US alleged that the factory was making chemicals that can be used in chemical weapons, an issue that Sudan firmly denied asking the United Nations to send an investigative team to examine the site.
The US as part of its indictment offered $5 million dollars for information leading to his arrest or conviction. The US was not specific as to why they filed the indictment at this time.
