Syria demands meeting of Syrian-Jordanian committee on al-Wahda dam

The Jordanian al-Aswak paper has reported that Syria officially asked Jordan last week to convene a meeting of the Jordanian-Syrian committee, which has been for many years in charge of setting up al-Wahda dam between the two countries.

The paper added that according to the Syrian request, the committee is expected to meet during the current month with the participation of the secretary general of the Jordan Valley Authority, Dureid Mahasneh, and several Syrian officials.
