A new funeral for Iraqi children, UN embargo blamed
A collective funeral was held in Baghdad on Tuesday for 50 Iraqi children who Iraq says died as a result of the sanctions imposed on Iraq. The funeral started from the Medaan al-Shuhada area and stopped in front of al-Rashid hotel where Arab and foreign delegations taking part in the Baghdad International Exposition are staying.
The funeral is coincides with the newly-erupted problems between Iraq and the UN following the decision taken by Baghdad on Sunday to suspend dealing with UNSCOM members, which Baghdad accuses of prolonging the imposed UN embargo.
