Italian MPs visit Rabat

A delegation from the foreign relations committee at the Italian chamber of representatives is currently visiting Morocco to explore means of consolidating cooperation ties with the Moroccan Chamber of Representatives (lower house).

The Italian delegation held a meeting in Rabat on Monday with speaker of the chamber, Abdelouahed Radi.

Talks stressed the need to promote relations between the parliaments of Northern and Southern Mediterranean countries and covered the political changes and constitutional reforms introduced in Morocco during the past years.

Radi also surveyed the major phases of the national struggle to perfect the country's territorial integrity and the obstacles erected by Morocco's enemies to hamper the implementation of the U.N settlement plan for the Sahara.
