An Afro-Arab forum is currently held in Ouagadougou, Burkina faso, to debate means of reactivating Afro-Arab cooperation in a globalized economy, reported the pan-African news agency PANA.
The forum, held in the context of the second Afro-Arab business week, is also debating ways of upgrading financial flows and investments between the Arab states and Africa, the impact of trade negotiations on business relations between African and Arab countries and prospects of Afro-Arab economic partnership.
The forum, sponsored by the Arab Bank for Economic Development in Africa (ABEDA), is attended by some 100 delegates from Africa and the Arab world as well as from international and African organizations.
The first Afro-Arab business week event was held in Cairo in 1995, MAP reported.
