Morocco Climbs to 13th Rank on Fifa Ranking

Morocco jumped to 13th rank on the latest rankings of the world football governing body (FIFA), published on Wednesday.

Morocco, which had remained in 15th place since the world cup, tops all African and Arab countries with 59.62 points. The progress was achieved thanks to two recent victories of the Moroccans in a friendly against Senegal (2-0) and in the African nations cup heats against Sierra Leone (3-0).

The world teams are still led by Brazil, which tops the list with 73.57 points, followed by world champions of France, 69.01 and Germany, 67.37.
