Qatar refuses Israel's participation in bone surgery conference
Qatar announced on Wednesday its rejection of Israel's participation in a conference on bone-surgery in Doha. One of the conference's organizers, Dr. Nasser al-Sbei, said, "Qatar has refused the participation of Israeli specialists in the conference which will be held during December." He added that Israel was expelled for "political reasons."
He said that Israeli participation in the conference could create problems with participating Arab states.
At the beginning of the current month, October, Qatar's Foreign Minister Sheikh Hamad Bin Jasem al-Thani said that relations between his country and Israel "are still frozen because of the Israeli position concerning the Middle East peace process."
